Our story

Learn about Tuiscint Níos Fearr, our journey, and our commitment to improving autism awareness and education for teachers and managers in Irish secondary schools. This website is the product of our passion and dedication to making a real difference.

From science project to a mission

We are Eve Kenny, Aisling Treacy, and Allie Callanan, and our journey began with the 2026 Stripe Young Scientist Competition. Our project, "Does the autism label change how we see our classmates?", revealed a critical insight: the autism label significantly impacts peer perception and highlighted inconsistencies in teachers' knowledge and practices regarding students with ASD. We were determined to expand our project into something meaningful, and this website is the heart of that vision.

A personal touch

What sets 'Tuiscint Níos Fearr' apart is its personal nature. This isn't just another resource; it's a project fueled by our commitment to making a difference. We believe that our unique perspective, combined with valuable resources, can truly empower educators to create more inclusive and supportive learning environments for students with autism.

Our goal

We hope that after exploring 'Tuiscint Níos Fearr', teachers and managers will be impressed by the effort and dedication of three TY students striving to make a meaningful impact. We aim to provide practical, accessible, and personally relevant resources to improve autism awareness and education in Irish secondary schools. We are committed to helping as many people as possible.

"We are determined to make our small project about autism larger, we want to make a difference and help as many people as possible"
